$Text Box: We ship through American Airlines most of the time. It might be just because that is who we started with and they have been so professional that we have stayed with them. They have never given us a reason to try anything else and the people there have always been great with the puppies. I have had people drive across the country to pick up a puppy to eliminate the stress from flying. That is great if that is what a person believes, but I believe that a plane flight from here to your closest airport is only a fraction of time to travel verses driving and it is much smoother. Puppies can get jet lag just like people when they fly on an airplane but I think it is mainly just from all of the excitement and the new surroundings. When you think about it puppies just like human babies sleep most of the day and when traveling they do not get the chance to really sleep so when they get to their new homes they tend to do a lot of sleeping for the first 24 hours. I believe that the safest way to buy a puppy online or by telephone is to ensure that the Breeder is reputable. A Breeder that cares about their puppies and clients will never knowingly put an unhealthy puppy on a plane going to its new home. A puppy that is healthy and strong will not have any problems with stress while it is on way to their new home. We have flown close to 500 puppies since we started doing this in 2003 and feel that it is a very safe way to send puppies to our clients since we have never had any problems. I would like to make you aware of the Temperature Regulations when shipping puppies and why we ask for all our clients to be patient in the hot summer months like July and August and the coldest winter month which is January. These are the three months that tend to give us problems and incase you are not aware of it, our USDA do have you the buyers best interest at hand or should I say the safety of your puppy. Airlines that ship puppies are regularly checked by the USDA and have to have a temperature procedure on hand to ensure the safety of all the puppies.
